@Meredith-
I didn't take any after pics, but I certainly can this weekend. I was going to do a Q&A interview with him and post it as well. Thanks for the compliments and I will have the recipes available on my Veg Starter Kit coming out soon!!

@carcaronline
Yes, he is planning on being a flexitarian now. Although last night we went out for Mexican food and he ordered cheese & chicken enchiladas from his favorite place. He DIDN'T LIKE THEM at all. In fact, he was grossed out and doesn't want to eat them again :-)

Just found your blog and I am so impressed with these results. I liked the protein myth post, I always tell people about that animal protein leaching calcium thing but they seem skeptical. I guess that is likely due to what most of us were taugh growing up. I wish I could convince my dad to do something like this- his favorite foods are meat, fried things, and milk.

I know what you mean about being brainwashed in school! Now that I know the school's are funded by the Dairy Council & Meat Industry to provide learning materials, it's no wonder why animal protein is taught as the "perfect food." YUCK! Tell your Dad to read the challenge! My BF was (is) the ULTIMATE carnivore and even after the challenge he is sticking with it 95%!

Right after I posted, I was listening to NPR in the car and there was a piece on about removing chocolate milk from the lunchroom. Then they interviewed a "dietician" from the Dairy Council who said that "the added sugar is a reasonable trade-off for all the good calcium and other nutrients." I wanted to reach through the radio and shake her!
